An opportunity to connect with other guides from other cohorts and learn from the shared experiences.
If you have completed at least module 9 and submitted the corresponding assignments, of the six-month remote Forest Therapy Guide Training you're eligible to apply. Completion of this immersion and the six-month training fulfills the requirements for full Certification. When space is available, ANFT-trained guides who have completed training in any past cohort can also participate. Please note that priority goes to students who need to take the immersion to get fully certified. Therefore, when you apply, you'll be put on a waitlist until two weeks before the start of the immersion.

Broughton Hall

About the Venue:

A 4 day in-person gathering, with 1 or 2 trainers, and people from different cohorts where you will have the opportunity to apply what you learned, experience in-person forest therapy walks and simply connect and share experiences and stories with other guides.

After you complete your 6 month remote Forest Therapy training, you will get a provisional certification for 2 years. Once you attend the 4 day immersion training, you will get the permanent certification.  

In this immersion, you will:

Get a hands on experience of what you learned
Get to know trainers personally
Get to know other guides and connect
Learn from shared experiences with other guides
Deepen into the practice
Get the opportunity to ask specific questions that might come up

Once you complete this four-day immersion, your certification will be moved from provisional to permanent. You have  two years after you complete the six month core training course to complete an immersion. It will help to give you a sense of the community of guides that has grown and is active throughout the world.

The Broughton Hall Estate has been the home of the Tempest family since 1097 and enjoys a rich history stretching back over the Millennium. The Broughton Hall Estate is home to a magnificent Historic House, a collection of unique Holiday Homes and an off-grid Shepherd’s Hut. The 3000 acre sanctuary is all yours to explore and is a peaceful and diverse haven away from the hustle and bustle of modern life.

Set within the beautiful Yorkshire Dales countryside our 3,000 acre Estate is a wondrous mix of rolling meadow pastures, ancient woodland, heather moorland, wild reservoirs and meandering rivers. All is yours to enjoy when you stay on the Broughton Hall Estate.

Nestled discreetly into the edge of Yorkshire Moorland, this welcoming holiday home is a 17th century farmhouse within a dramatic and secluded landscape.

3 twin bedrooms (2 single beds in each bedroom : 2 people sharing one bedroom)
1 treehouse inspired mezzanine (above and within) the communal living room (1 person)

Sitting at the edge of an ancient woodland, this former goat farm has been lovingly refurbished into a joyous and friendly holiday home in a truly enchanting setting.

4 twin bedrooms each with spacious ensuite bathroom equipped with freestanding baths (2 single beds in each bedroom : 2 people sharing one bedroom)

Accommodation Cost (per person; based on 15 occupants)

Cost per person per night: £62.50 GBP for a single bed in either Higher Scarcliffe or Yellison. Same price for all single beds, including the mezzanine. (Offered on a first come, first served basis)

£250.00GBP for 4 nights / 5 days (full payment due at the time of booking to secure the accommodation)

Check-in after 3pm of 12th July. Check out by 10am on 16th July.

Accommodation & meals need to be booked by 8th June 2021

Off-Site Accommodation

If you choose to stay in off-site accommodation, a fee of £90pp will be payable by 8th June for the use and enjoyment of the Estate grounds and facilities during the immersion. (This fee does not apply if you are staying at Broughton Hall Estate)

TRANSPORTE

By Road
From the M1 Leave at junction 42 onto the M62. Join the M606 and follow signs for Skipton. From the M6 Leave at junction 29 onto the M65 and follow signs for Skipton. Broughton Hall is located 2 miles to the west of Skipton on the A59.

By Rail
Skipton Railway Station 3 miles.
Leeds Bradford Airport 24 miles.

By Air
Manchester Airport 55 miles.
The Estate is 42 miles from Manchester.

The Holiday Homes are a 40-minute walk from Broughton Hall entrance. On arrival at and on departure from the Venue, transport from and to the entrance will be available at set times (if taxis drop off/pick up at the entrance only)

GENERALES

Once you are approved for the immersion by the ANFT Office, booking of accommodation will be done directly with the trainers responsible for the immersion.

Daily Schedule

  • Except for the first day of the immersion which will start around 17:00, the daily programme will start around 8.45am
  • Except for the last day of the immersion, which will end around 14:00, the daily programme will end around 21:30
  • There will be breaks and periods of rest during each day.
  • On 15th July, there will be a celebration meal either in a local restaurant or in a woodland on the Estate (cost not included)

Matrícula / Tuition

The tuition for the four-day immersion is $495. Wait to pay until you are ready to register for a specific immersion. You will have two years from the completion of your core guide training to do the immersion.

This does not include transportation, lodging or camping fees and food for the four-day immersion are the responsibility of the trainee.

Geeta es una Guía Certificada de Terapia de Bosque con sede en Portugal y la fundadora de la empresa Renature donde crea y facilita programas restaurativos que promueven el bienestar y la salud a través de Terapia Forestal, prácticas de conexión con la naturaleza, alimentación limpia y autocuidado. Trabaja en todo el mundo con diversas poblaciones que van desde el público en general, equipos corporativos senior y junior, escuelas, familias, poblaciones de salud mental e individuos que se recuperan de situaciones de estrés excesivo y depresión y ansiedad resultantes. Su pasión es devolver a los seres humanos a la naturaleza y apoyar la reconexión con la potencia restauradora del mundo natural. Está formada en Terapia de Bosque, Mindfulness Corporal y Descanso Consciente, Técnicas de Consejo y Meditación Activa, y en el campo de la Salud como Farmacéutica. Tiene una Maestría en Administración de Empresas y habla con fluidez portugués, inglés, español y francés.
